Welcome to the website for Friends of McCormick Park! We are a small group of area residents who have come together to discuss how we can best advocate for our park.

Since our first meeting in early 2012, we have discussed ways, both small and large, to enhance the park and by extension, the community in which we live. Some of the things we’re working on include an adopt-a-tree program, a fall fair, and repairs to the playground and other park infrastructure (see a draft of our Master Plan). We’re also committed to solving problems related to vandalism, off-leash dogs, and other safety concerns. Other ideas include an outdoor skating rink next winter, activities for teenagers, and more community gatherings.

These are just a few examples of how committed volunteers can work together to ensure that our park is the best it can be. Join us! There’s lots to talk about and lots to do!
